The new version of their software, labeled “Shift Wizard 4.5” is built on a newly designed .Net 4.0 framework, allowing for increased functionality, and a more intuitive user interface.   Shift Wizard 4.5 will now feature “drag and drop” functionality, allowing the user to quickly and easily make changes to their department schedules without sacrificing staff productivity.

Shift Wizard 4.5 will include a Real Time Productivity Module.  Shift Wizard’s Productivity Module will now bridge the gap between CFOs and CNOs when it comes to forecasting or predicting patient volumes, staffing levels and other factors that drive expense and revenue projections.  The Productivity Module will incorporate, among other measurements, HPPD, CPPD, Actual CPPD, Approaching Overtime, Percentage of Overtime, Census Variance, and Percentage of Non Productive Time.

By implementing Shift Wizard’s Productivity Module, hospitals are now able to closely monitor, in real time, a multitude of factors that help improve both efficiency and productivity, while at the same time closely controlling costs.  With interfaces to 3^rd party applications such as Kronos, API, Lawson, Meditech, and SMS, Shift Wizard will now provide managers and administrators an extremely powerful tool for managing labor costs.
