Describe why you chose to become a nurse
I became a nurse because I had a desire to help people when they are at their worst.
Describe your most rewarding day on the job
As a manager, I was able to help coordinate Organ Procurement on New Year’s Day this year. I was at home and I knew what time the patient was going to the OR and when I was told about the organs that were able to be procured and thought about how many lives would be impacted that New Years Day, I was humbled.
Describe your most challenging day on job
Lately the days have become challenging in dealing with the unknown during this pandemic.
Do you have any nurse hacks or lessons learned in the field you would like to share with others?
Keep an open mind and positive attitude.
